A Lively Neighborhood

Our neighborhood is calm but lively too! In the mornings and afternoons, there is lots of foot, bike, and stroller traffic on the streets around our house. Students bustle back and forth to class, parents stroll down the sidewalk hand in hand with their young children. There is easy shopping within walking distance at Trader Joe’s and the excellent produce markets such as Berkeley Bowl, Monterey Market and Whole Foods within easy driving or biking distance. Walk to well-known culinary destinations Chez Panisse, The Cheese Board, the original Peet’s Coffee and Sauls Deli in North Berkeley (aka “The Gourmet Ghetto”) for your supply of crunchy baguettes, gourmet pizza, fresh coffee and homemade pastrami. La Mission Mexican Food on University Avenue offers the best carnitas, mole, ceviche and posole in Berkeley. There are Farmer’s Markets every week in both North Berkeley and Central Berkeley.
